As a resident dentist at Hospitales San Roque (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria), my team and I provide dentistry services in a modern clinical environment with the best facilities.
My personal career stems from a work philosophy that focuses primarily on providing a personalised care to all of our patients according to their individual needs and circumstances, by using simple, conservative and effective treatments.
ABOUT US
We are a team of highly-specialised professionals, led by Dr Luis Poggio Rosas, and made up by orthodontist Jorge Conde Gómez, and dental hygienist Bina Daryanani Quevedo. We all share the same philosophy: we believe in providing a friendly and personalised service to each and every patient.
Dr Jorge Conde studied in Madrid and he then completed his training at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where he specialised in orthodontics. At present, he offers several orthodontic treatments using different systems available on the market, including Invisalign®.
Dental hygienist Bina Daryanani Quevedo has more than 10 years of experience working in different dental centres in the Canary Islands.
OUR FACILITIES
Two years ago, Hospitales San Roque Las Palmas officially opened its new facilities for the dentistry department.
For us, these new facilities have meant a huge qualitative leap in the care of our patients. Thanks to this modern and functional space, we are able to carry out specific training in different fields of dentistry. We also have a laboratory within our own clinic, which enables us to carry out denture repairs a lot faster. In addition, our laboratories are equipped with dental scanners and state-of-the-art technical equipment.
WHAT WE DO
Our team’s philosophy is defined by Responsible Dentistry: a non-invasive, respectful dentistry based on trust and approachability.
Our goal is to rehabilitate the functioning of the masticatory system. To achieve this, we first focus our efforts on making a good diagnosis based on the clinical data collected and the radiodiagnostic images obtained.
We then use the information gathered to design a treatment plan in which patients also take part, and which is based on the patients’ needs and demands.
Next, it is time to carry out the planned treatment using minimally-invasive dental techniques, in order to keep any inconvenience to our patients to a minimum.
We believe in maintaining our patient’s natural teeth for as long as possible, until they can no longer perform their normal function. We also include dental aesthetics as part of such function, because nice-looking teeth are also healthy teeth.

WHAT SETS US APART
· Thanks to our location in a hospital setting, we have all kinds of clinical facilities at our disposal. We offer our patients the possibility of carrying out procedures under sedation. And in case any of our patients need an extra layer of protection (that is, medically compromised patients), we carry out treatments in an operating room.
·We have experience treating special patients, such as patients with Down Syndrome, attention deficit or autism. Based on our experience, we recommend their parents and relatives the use of operating rooms, in order to guarantee their complete safety during treatment.
· The clinic of Hospitales San Roque offers nearly all services in the field of medicine and, therefore we can easily treat cross-sectional pathologies which involve other specialties, such as diabetes or oral healthcare.
· I trained in the USA and can speak English. Don’t let language be a problem, if you are visiting Gran Canaria, we will be happy to treat you. We can easily resume or continue any treatment as we are able to work with any type of implant available on the market. Once your treatment has been completed, we will send a letter to your regular dentist specifying the treatment carried out.
